News & Updates

Hello and welcome to the Queensland Buffers official website.

We are a local soccer club based at Meakin Park in Slacks Creek with roots in South Africa. In fact, the name ‘Buffers’ is a term used in South Africa to describe silly old men and there are a network of Buffers clubs across Australia and the World that share this name. We meet up with these teams for Annual tours and competitions.

Locally, we field youth teams and over 35s teams in various Gold Coast and Brisbane soccer leagues.

Whether you’re a past or current member of the club, or even someone looking to play soccer, we welcome you to this website. It’s a great place to discover everything you need to know about our club. We are always excited to welcome new players and casual members to our club, so please contact us if you would like to join us.

We train on Wednesday nights at Meakin Park in Slacks Creek from 6.30pm.

As mentioned, our competitive matches are played in a number of leagues across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, usually on a Friday night or Sunday. The licenced bar is open and spectators are encouraged to come and enjoy some free local football.

Finally, look us up on Facebook and Twitter for the latest news and events from the club. That’s also where you can find out about game cancellations.
